Passion Project Based Learning

I’m Rae Shagalov and I have a passion to help Jewish children and women develop their gifts and talents to energize themselves, nurture their families & and light up the world!
I’ve creatively coached more than 4,000 children and women for over 30 years. As a librarian, I’ve directed S.T.E.A.M., gifted enrichment, project-based learning, and innovaton at Emek Hebrew Academy, Yavneh Hebrew Academy, and the Village School.
I am a creativity expert, project-based learning specialist, and a master calligrapher. I have a great deal of experience with the ups & downs, starts & stops and push-pull of the creative process.
My passion is helping educators, parents, and kids bring out their greatness through collaborative project-based learning, design thinking, and the Nurtured Heart Approach in schools and at home. The Nurtured Heart Approach®
Above all else, children want to connect. They want to feel seen, valued, and appreciated. If we respond more energetically to them when they’re misbehaving, than when they are being neutral or good, they begin to gravitate toward negativity in order to engage the adults in their world.

Then we learn specific techniques for seeing far more in the “things going right” category than we ever have – and how to build up inner wealth and greatness in our children and students through 4 specific types of appreciation.
