Take Time for a Little Self-Care
If you’re like most of us, you put a lot of pressure on yourself. It’s time for a little self-care.
Often, when we’re feeling overwhelmed, we forget about our physical needs, and
that makes things even harder.
So, when you feel overwhelmed, check in with yourself.
Are you thirsty or hungry?
Eat & drink something that relaxes and energizes you.
Too much sugar?
Eat some protein, fat or whole grain.
Not enough quality sleep?
Take a power nap or meditate with deep breathing.
Too much noise?
Create a pocket of quiet time or solitude.
Feeling empty, anxious, bored?
Review your mission statement & strengthen your connection to G-d.
Feeling depressed or stressed?
Do something creative – Sing, dance, draw, write, smile.
Body uncomfortable?
Turn on some music and move & stretch in a way that you enjoy.
The Most Important Step in Self-Care?
Be gentle with yourself.
You’re doing so much better than you think you are!
Really.
And G-d is so proud of your struggle and your effort.
